Call for papers
本期为大家推介的是期刊《城市数据、科学与技术汇刊》(Transactions in Urban Data, Science, and Technology)专刊《交通运输与人类移动性之间的相互作用》(Interactions between Transport and Human Mobility)的征文启事,包含Rationale(选题依据)、The scope of Topics(主题范围)、Guidelines(投稿指南)、Timeline(时间表)等内容。欢迎您的咨询、建议与投稿!
Urban transport systems and human mobility behaviors co-evolve: infrastructure provision, service design, and policy interventions shape how people move, while observed mobility patterns (including their heterogeneity across space, time, and population groups) feed back into planning, operations, and investment decisions. This bidirectional relationship has become increasingly visible and complex due to several converging forces: (i) the rapid diffusion of digital mobility platforms and sensor-rich transport systems, alongside changing urban structures driven by smart-city and intelligent transport initiatives; (ii) the expansion of multimodal travel options and growing interdependencies across transport networks; (iii) the widespread availability of high-resolution mobility data (e.g., mobile device traces, smart-card transactions, shared-mobility logs, and multimodal trajectory data); and (iv) the intensification of emergencies and climate extremes such as pandemics, heatwaves, floods, and wildfires, that disrupt transport systems and reshape everyday mobility.
At the same time, methodological advances in urban analytics combining AI and large language models (LLMs), causal inference, machine learning, network science, simulation, and statistical modeling, create new opportunities to explain and predict mobility responses to transport changes, and to evaluate transport strategies under uncertainty, disruption, and long-term transitions such as decarbonization, automation, demographic change.
This Special Issue thus invites original, data-driven, and theory-informed contributions that deepen our understanding of how transport systems and human mobility interact across scales, and how these interactions can be leveraged for more efficient, equitable, resilient, and sustainable cities.
We welcome submissions that address transport–mobility interactions from literature review, empirical, theoretical, computational, and policy perspectives. We encourage submissions make a clear contribution in at least one of the following dimensions:
我们欢迎从文献综述、实证、理论、计算和政策视角探讨交通与出行互动关系的投稿。我们鼓励投稿在以下至少一个方面做出明确贡献:
-
Data innovation: novel mobility/transport data sources, integration strategies, measurement frameworks, privacy-preserving analytics, or reproducible data products.
-
Methodological advances: models and inference methods that capture feedback loops between transport supply and mobility demand; scalable learning and simulation; multimodal and multi-scale modeling.
-
Substantive insights and perspectives: new evidence on mobility behavior, accessibility, equity, resilience, safety, emissions, health, or productivity arising from transport system changes.
- Planning and policy relevance: evaluations of interventions (e.g., pricing, service redesign, infrastructure expansion, demand management) and their behavioral, distributional, and system-level impacts.
Submissions should be prepared according to the “Submission Guidelines” available on the journal homepage https://us.sagepub.com/en-us/nam/transactions-in-urban-data-science-and-technology/journal203731#submission-guidelines. Please visit the Journal’s submission site https://mc.manuscriptcentral.com/tus to upload your manuscript. Submitted papers should not have been previously published nor been currently under consideration for publication elsewhere. To ensure that all manuscripts are correctly identified for inclusion into the special issue, it is important to select “Interactions between Transport and Human Mobility” when you reach the “Article Type” step in the submission process and indicate the special issue in your cover letter.
Please note that papers can be submitted any time before the deadline.
请依据网站要求提交完整论文,并在cover letter中注明向专刊《交通运输与人类移动性之间的相互作用》投稿。
