讲座预告｜编木拱桥：理解中国木作的钥匙

Liu Yan, an architectural historian, earned the degree of Doktor-Ingenieurin Bauforschung (Building Archaeology) from the Technical University of Munich, Germany. He is a Member of the Koldewey-Gesellschaft and a Junior Fellow at the Society of Fellows in Liberal Arts, Southern University of Science and Technology and now works as a lecturer at Kunming University of Science and Technology, China.

刘妍，建筑历史学者，德国慕尼黑工业大学建筑考古学专业工学博士、东南大学建筑历史与理论专业工学硕士、清华大学土木工程专业工学学士。著有专著 《Woven Arch Bridge: Histories of Constructional Thoughts》，《编木拱桥：技术与社会史》。现执教于昆明理工大学建筑与城市规划学院。

Woven arch bridge in Southeast China is one of the most extraordinary timber structure of the world. Although peculiar in structural form and craftsmanship, it also grows out of the technical soil of Chinese building tradition. This lecture will lead a wonder trip to a deep understanding of the bridge construction, with a step by step building process illustration, and by the explanation of the carpenters’ constructional thoughts. The detailed constructional measurements will also show some lights on the basic constructional principles of Chinese carpentry tradition.

中国东南地区的编木拱桥是世界上最为不同寻常的木结构建筑之一。虽然它在形式与工艺上极为特殊，却深植于中国建筑传统。本次讲座将通过介绍详细的建造步骤与匠人的思维认识，带来遗产关于木拱桥构造的深度理解之旅，并通过木拱桥的技术细节的展开，展现中国木作传统的一些基础原理。
